There is nothing more I would like than to make a living off my blog, however, I am not quite there.. YET! I still have to work a 9 to 5 to be able to support my family and get by. Three weeks ago today I got laid off from work.. Can you say stressful?? The company I was working for was bought out in October and since then the new company had been making changes. My department, unfortunately, was one of the ones to go. I would of had seven years with the company this August. Although this was hard, mainly because the company I worked for was so amazing, it's something that had to happen. I met some amazing people and built some great friendships while working for this company. Overall, the culture and environment this company created was one of a kind. Although it's a bit of a stressful situation I tried to make the best of it. I actually enjoyed the time off. I loved the time I got to spend at home with my son. He has grown so much and it seems like the more he grows the more I enjoy having him around. Having him in my life has been my greatest blessing. Life is even better now that he is starting to interact more, I love it!
This past week I interviewed for a company I will begin working for on Monday. Can I just say how much interviews stress me out?? They are sooo nerve-racking!!! On the other hand they are such a great opportunity to learn more about yourself and your capabilities. You pretty much have to sit there and sell yourself to these strangers; you have to tell them what makes you so great. I think sometimes life knocks us down and we forget how valuable we are. The things we are capable of achieving, we forget our strengths, and those qualities that makes us such strong beautiful individuals.
I know nothing in this life happens by coincidence, there is a purpose for everything. I am grateful for the lessons learned in my past job. I appreciate everything I learned and the amazing people I had the privilege to work for. I look forward to my new adventure with this new company I will be working for and the things I will learn with them. I hope that if any of you are going through something similar, that you find the strength to pull through. That you focus on the positive aspect of the matter and think about how you can learn and grow from your experience.

  1. I just started reading your blog and I it is now one of my favorites! I love your style and I like that it's affordable! I'm a frugal mom so pricey designer clothing is not an option for me. I also follow you on instagram. Check out my blog simplydurant.blogspot.com when you have the chance.
